Yahoo Lifestyle Anna Sawai Shines in Crystalized Red Armani Privé Gown With Sculptural Bustier on 2025 SAG Awards Red Carpet
Anna Sawai was the lady in red at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night. The performer attended the Los Angeles ceremony, nominated for the critically acclaimed series “Shogun” in the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series category.
For the red carpet, Sawai chose a strapless red custom Giorgio Armani Privé gown. The bustier of the gown extended beyond Sawai’s chest, creating a sculptural quality. The front was made of red georgette embroidered with red crystals. It also features a bead and crystal gradient effect. Between the front and back, there are sheer, nude-colored side panels. The back of the dress is made of black velvet.

Sawai wore her hair with a middle part and pushed back behind her shoulders. Styled by Karla Welch, she also wore diamond earrings and a natural beauty look. For shoes, she wore Christian Louboutin platform sandals featuring a block heel.
With “Shogun” and “Pachinko,” Sawai quickly established herself as an up-and-coming name in fashion. She was the recipient of WWD’s Fashion Newcomer award at the 2025 Style Awards in January.
“As we started to work together more, I feel like now I know what I look good in and what I feel comfortable in,” Sawai said of her relationship with Welch. “Karla also knows how I feel when I’m wearing certain things. And it’s so easy now, because everything that I try on is great. I’m also now able to experiment a little bit more.”
“I’m happy to challenge myself if I know that I’m going to feel good in it,” she added.
In February, Sawai was unveiled as the latest brand ambassador for Christian Dior. She had previously been named a face of Cartier.
“Becoming a Dior ambassador is a dream come true. Dior represents timeless elegance, strength and individuality — qualities I’ve always admired and aspired to embody. I’m so honored to join this iconic house and to celebrate its artistry and vision,” Sawai said.
