Angelina Jolie and Sons Maddox and Pax Support Zahara at Spelman College Sorority Luncheon
Zahara joined the HBCU's chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority as her family cheered her on
Zahara Jolie-Pitt celebrated a special milestone with her family by her side!
Last week, the 18-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt joined Spelman College’s chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority — and her movie star mom and big brothers, Pax, 19, and Maddox, 22, were by her side.
The Mu Pi Chapter welcomed its new members, including Zahara, with a luncheon at the The Whitley Hotel in Atlanta, and Jolie, 48, and her sons attended the event, per a photo shared by a fan account dedicated to the actress.
In the shot, Jolie, Pax and Maddox pose with several event attendees near a table decorated with AKA colors — green and pink.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), another Jolie fan account shared a sweet photo of Jolie, Zahara, Pax and Maddox posing together on the sophomore’s special day.

AKA member Tracey Royal also shared photos from the event on Instagram. In one of the snaps, Jolie holds Zahara’s hand as they pose with a group. In another shot, Zahara — sporting a white dress like the other new members — smiles for a selfie with Royal.
Jackie Walters, who spoke at the luncheon, also shared photos from the gathering.
The Bravo star and 50 Shades of Pink Foundation founder, 65, posted a carousel of several snaps, including a couple of shots with Jolie, on Instagram.
“It was so much honor to share my heart and to have been the keynote speaker for the Fall ‘23 finest @19sweetmupi79 Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated; to have met @angelinajolie, the international president for @alphaphialpha, shake hands with some amazing sorors and hug others again,” Walters wrote alongside her post.
“So proud to welcome these intelligent, articulate and amazing 50 new sorors!” she added.

Prior to the luncheon, Zahara introduced herself to her new sisters in a video obtained by Essence.
In the clip, she steps out of a line of her new sisters to address the enthusiastic crowd, saying, “My name is Zahara Marley Jolie,” while flipping her hair, which was met with loud cheers.
“And [I] landed all the way from the Golden State in the city full of angels: Los Angeles, California,” she added.
Zahara began her undergraduate career at the HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) last year, a milestone that Jolie announced with a sweet snap on social media in July 2022.
Alongside a photo of her daughter and some of her fellow classmates clad in Spelman blue, the Maleficent star wrote, "Zahara with her Spelman sisters!"
"Congratulations to all new students starting this year. A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl,” Jolie added, finishing with the hashtags “#spelman #spelmancollege #spelmansisters #HBCU.”
Days later, Jolie was spotted dancing at a Spelman move-in event alongside a crowd of other new students and their families.
Also during Zahara’s move-in, the mother-daughter duo met with the HBCU’s president, Dr. Helene Gayle, and vice president for student affairs, Darryl Holloman, who marked the occasion with photos shared on Instagram.
