Ange fires 'nanny' brother

She has a brood of six, but Angelina Jolie has one less person helping her take care of her kids after "firing" her brother James Haven from his role as head nanny.

James, who was Ange hired as one of six nannies for the clan following her split from Brad Pitt, was "quietly dismissed" from his position by his sister.

The siblings have a close relationship, but sources close to the star say Ange saw the "heavy toll" the duties took on her brother.

"Things haven't been easy with Brad and Angelina's divorce, and James has done more than his fair share helping out while the family goes through a major upheaval," the insider told Grazia.

"But he's done. He's loved spending so much time with his nieces and nephews, but it's hard work and he's absolutely shattered."

The source said lines were getting blurred with James' role of overseeing the children's other nannies crossing over into the family's everyday life.

"It was his job to be there if any of the kids woke up during the night and to deal with the nannies if they had any issues. He was virtually running the household and it became very draining," the insider added.

"She was worried about how exhausted he looked and realised he needed a break. Brad is coming back into the kids' lives, so things have calmed down a little. She's grateful that James was there, but knows she can't rely on him every step of the way."

The siblings have always shared a somewhat unconventional bond, with Ange famously kissing James on the mouth after she won her Oscar for Girl, Interrupted in 2000.
