Angel Reese explained why she was wearing a Bears jersey one week after supporting the Ravens

Angel Reese is coming off a historic rookie season -- one that ended early due to injury -- and she's finally getting some time to an enjoy an offseason.

Last week, the Chicago Sky forward was in Baltimore to support her hometown Ravens in their game against the Bills. She was hanging out on the sidelines pregame and taking in the atmosphere at M&T Bank Stadium. Fast forward to Sunday, and Reese was back at an NFL game. But this time, she was rocking Chicago Bears colors.

Now, if there's one thing NFL fans love to do, it's to gatekeep fandom. It was inevitable that Reese was going to get criticized for wearing a Bears jersey even though there's nothing wrong with supporting her new city.

Reese took to Twitter/X to explain just that.

Reese made it clear that she wasn't going to go on any kind of NFL tour. She's a Ravens fan as a Baltimore native, but she's also embracing the city that she plays in now. There's nothing unusual about that at all.
