Andy Cohen, Lindsay Hubbard and Stassi Schroeder Review Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s New Sandwich Shop

Schroeder described Los Angeles eatery Something About Her as a “Nancy Meyers movie come to life”

The first reviews for Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney's sandwich shop are in!

On Friday, May 17, the still-unopened Los Angeles eatery, Something About Her, had several special visitors, including Andy Cohen and the owners’ Vanderpump Rules costar Stassi Schroeder.

Both Schroeder, 35, and Cohen, 55, documented their experience at the restaurant, which opens to the public May 22, on their Instagram Stories — and even previewed the menu.

“When in Los Angeles,” Cohen said in a clip, panning up to the shop’s yellow-and-white striped awning sign. “Oh, yeah, going to get sandwiches!”

Schroeder also showed off the kitschy-cute exterior of the sandwich shop, and shared her favorite sandwiches on the menu: “The Reese,” a chicken salad creation, and “The Drew,” a baguette topped with spicy-sweet toppings such as apple, goat cheese and jalapeño jam.

She also previewed more of the menu, which includes more sandwiches seemingly named after powerful women, from “The Diane” and “The Kerry” to “The Nancy” and “The Meg.” The shop also offers a plain peanut butter and jelly sandwich, as well as a grilled cheese sandwich.

Also on the menu are chips, sweets and a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Complimenting “trailblazers” Madix, 38, and Maloney, 37, on the shop, Schroeder also called the restaurant a “Nancy Meyers movie come to life.”

The duo’s new restaurant had “the most incredible gourmet sandwiches,” the reality star wrote, adding that the “concept come to life is 😭😭😭.”

In his own posts, Cohen lauded the staff at the L.A. eatery — and specifically, a cook named Jamie. Alongside a smiley selfie with the cook, the Watch What Happens Live host wrote that she “made me a GREAT chicken salad sandwich!”

Elsewhere during the restaurant preview, Madix and Maloney posed with Cohen and Schroeder for a group photo, and later snapped a pic with Summer House’s Lindsay Hubbard, who shared the photo — along with some kind words for the owners.

“I am so so so proud of these girls!” Hubbard, 37, wrote on her Instagram Stories. “The world feels complete now that we have more sandwiches in it!”

Despite delays due to permitting issues, Madix and Maloney have continued to keep fans in the loop about Something About Her's status on Vanderpump Rules since first announcing plans to open the shop in 2022.

Earlier this year, in an official tour of the location for Bravo's official YouTube page, Maloney called the eatery’s aesthetic "California country meet European café.”

Madix also previously discussed the inspirations behind the sandwiches' names with PEOPLE in May 2023.

“I think in the same sense that the name of the sandwich shop is Something About Her, I think that the sandwiches may or may not be named after really admirable,” she said at the time, “and wonderful women both in the public eye and our personal lives.”
