Amy Schumer had an encounter with Bradley Cooper that still has her shaken.

On Tuesday’s Tonight Show, Schumer recalled running into the Maestro actor and director recently. “He said, ‘You know, I turned 50 this year,’” Schumer told Jimmy Fallon. “And he goes, ‘You 50?’” which rubbed her the wrong way—as she just turned 43 last June.

Cooper turned 50 on January 5 and reportedly celebrated by taking his 7-year-old daughter Lea to an Eagles game before running into Schumer for the awkward encounter. Elsewhere in the sit-down, the Kinda Pregnant star talked about fans who “say hurtful things to you by accident.”

“When they’re asking for pictures, they’ll be like ‘Hi, sorry, I know you just worked out.’ And I’m like, no, I didn’t. I had some Ramen and it had a kick, so I’m sweating,’” she joked. “Or they’re like, ‘I know you’re not wearing makeup,’ and I’m like, I’m wearing a lot of makeup.”

Cooper seemed to have made a similar faux pas. “I tried to like, recover,” after Cooper asked if she was 50, Schumer recalled. “‘Cause whatever, I’m 43, but you know, I’m like, ‘I will be 50.’” She told Fallon that she ultimately replied, “‘Yeah, no, I’m not, Bradley, you know. I’m not. But thank you for thinking of me.’”

Schumer said the question got to her because “we all want to be hot,” she told Fallon. “This is how bad people want to be hot—people literally run,” she said, poking fun at joggers and Peloton riders alike. “They’re riding a bike to nowhere to the Wicked soundtrack.”
