Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes Will Launch New Podcast Exactly 1 Year After Their Removal from “GMA3”
The pair will launch their podcast, 'Amy & T.J.', on Dec. 5th — the same day they were removed from their co-anchor positions on 'GMA 3' in 2022, following the news of their romance
Amy Robach and T.J Holmes’ new podcast will debut on the one-year anniversary of their GMA 3: What You Need to Know removal.
On Nov. 1, the former GMA 3 co-anchors went Instagram official and announced their return to the air with their new iHeartRadio podcast, Amy & T.J.
"How's this for instagram official? #silentnomore 🎤," Robach, 50, and Holmes, 46, captioned a photo of the two smiling from ear to ear as they held each other in an embrace. "'Amy & T.J.' December 5th. Listen on the iHeartRadio app and everywhere podcasts are heard. @amyandtjpodcast."

Coincidentally enough, Amy & T.J. will launch on Dec. 5 — the same day the broadcast journalists were “temporarily” removed from the daytime television program in 2022 following the news of their romance.
ABC News President Kim Goodwin shared the network's decision with staff that morning. "During the routine 9 a.m. editorial call, Kim Godwin said she wanted to address the internal and external distraction between two colleagues," a source told PEOPLE last year.
"This wasn't a special call and it happens every day and she took that time to address the situation to the staff," the source continued. "She said even though this isn't a violation of policy, she took time to think about it and wanted to work through what was best and for now, they've decided to take T.J. and Amy off the air while they figure things out."

The two first sparked romance rumors on Nov. 30, 2022, after photos surfaced of them holding hands in a car during a vacation in upstate New York and cozying up at a bar in New York City. At the time, Robach was still married to actor Andrew Shue while Holmes was married to Marilee Fiebig.
Just hours after the photos were released, the journalists promptly shut down their respective Instagram accounts.

Following the release of the photos, more information about their relationship came to light. A source told PEOPLE that they officially began dating in August after splitting from their respective partners.
"This was two consenting adults who were each separated. They both broke up with their spouses in August within weeks of each other," the insider added. "The relationship didn't start until after that."
"She's got nothing to hide," the source continued of Robach. "They were both separated so they felt very comfortable dating in the open after that. Their spouses had moved out, even! So they were not hiding anything."
In January 2023, it was officially announced that Robach and Holmes would not be returning to their roles at ABC News following the company's investigation into their romance.
"After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it's best for everyone that they move on from ABC News. We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions," an ABC spokesperson told PEOPLE in a statement at the time.
