Amazons Head to the Pool in Dior’s Spring 2025 Campaign
PARIS — Even Amazons need to chill.
The campaign for Dior’s spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection, inspired by the female warriors and hunters of Greek mythology, finds models Lilli Ostendarp, Claudia Campana, Xiuli Jiang and Ali Dansky reclining poolside in a serene garden setting.

The French fashion house reunited with Sarah Jones, known for her contemplative large-scale color photographs of subjects such as empty therapists’ couches. The British artist had previously lensed the brand’s fall 2024 campaign.
“These tableaux with their surrealist undertone unveil boldly modern looks where couture and technicality merge,” Dior said.
Maria Grazia Chiuri, creative director of womenswear at Dior, has woven athletic references into her collections ever since her fencing-inspired debut for the label in 2016. She took on a star role during the Paris Olympics, crafting outfits for performers including Lady Gaga and Celine Dion for the opening ceremony.
In one of the spring ad images, Ostendarp wears the cutout bodysuit and crossbody satchel she donned to open the show in September, which featured artist Sagg Napoli shooting real arrows inside a 230-foot glass-and-steel installation that ran the length of the runway.
Elsewhere in the campaign, the monochromatic looks feature graphic checkerboard patterns and go-faster stripes. The seven-stripe Dior Graphique motif, which appears on track pants, was inspired by an Op Art-style logo from the early ‘70s.
Meanwhile, a suit jacket comes with an off-kilter neckline inspired by the lines of founder Christian Dior’s Abandon dress. Accessories include the D-Journey supple bag, Optical-D thong sandals and high-top GetDior sneakers.
Margot Populaire provided the creative direction for the campaign, which will break in print on Thursday. It was styled by Elin Svahn, with Peter Philips in charge of makeup and Olivier Schawalder doing hair.
Jones is represented by Maureen Paley in London and Anton Kern Gallery in New York.
