Aldi Just Dropped a Tasty New Fall-Friendly Snack, and Shoppers are Buying 6 Bags at a Time
This probably goes without saying, but fall weather and snacks go perfectly hand-in-hand. It’s no wonder some of us put on a few extra pounds during the colder months of the year; retailers seem to save their best seasonal offerings for just that time. And when you’ve already spent all spring and summer cutting carbs and counting calories, how can you be expected to turn down your favorite fall treats?
One grocery store that makes it their business to bombard customers with a wide variety of fan-favorite eats is Aldi. The popular discount retailer is basically the king of snacks if you consider the sheer variety available and shockingly low prices. The retailer has spent the last few weeks releasing tons of fall hits, like these $25 side tables and this gorgeous $15 rattan vase, but it’s once again time for a seasonal snack to shine.
After visiting their local Aldi supermarket earlier this week, one customer took to Reddit to sing the praises of the store's latest snack offering: Clancy’s Apple Cinnamon Yogurt Covered Pretzels. “Uhhh I mean, these are awful,” the Redditor jokingly wrote in the caption of the post, “Send them all to me so no one else falls victim.”

Clancy’s Apple Cinnamon Yogurt Covered Pretzels are sold in a 7-ounce bag, retailing for just $2.99. These tasty pretzel bites are coated in an apple cinnamon flavored yogurt and served up in a convenient resealable bag. Those interested in snagging a bag to try out should be aware that this fall-forward snack is not necessarily big on the healthy side of things. One serving size is about six pretzels, which equates to 140 calories and 4.5-grams of saturated fat per serving.
That being said, customers have been loading up their carts with as many bags as they can grab ahead of the impending sellout of all inventory.
“I love them, they remind me of apple jacks but with pretzels,” noted one satisfied shopper. Another chimed in to say, “Last week someone said they tasted like an apple fritter so I picked up a bag, ate it all in one night, returned to the store and bought 6 more bags the next day.”
In terms of flavor, it seems like these pretzels are a welcomed surprise amongst the online Aldi community, who traditionally don’t usually take part in unanimous group praise of a product. “Wow! First item in a while that seems to be a rave for everyone,” one commenter noted. “I am not really an apple person, but I will be picking up a bag tomorrow if my store has them!”
