Adam Scott Admits He Can't Watch “Parks & Recreation ”Because It 'Makes Me Sad': I Miss 'Making It'
The 'Severance' star also opened up about what he thought of a potential 'Parks & Recreation' reunion
Adam Scott says rewatching some of his happy memories tugs too hard on the heart strings.
On a recent episode of Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Confused podcast, the Parks & Recreation alum, 51, admitted that he hasn't seen an episode of the beloved NBC comedy series "in a long time."
“Honestly because it makes me sad to see the show, because I miss them and I miss all the actors even though we’re constantly in touch and stuff, but I miss the time of making it," he explained. “It was a really just joyful five years — for me, seven years for the show — getting to go work there every day with that group of people."
"We had so much fun and we’re making something that meant something to people; it meant something to us,” he added.
In addition to Scott, the mockumentary show starred Amy Poehler, Chris Pratt, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Adam Scott, Rashida Jones, Aubrey Plaza, Rob Lowe, Jim O'Heir and Retta. Parks & Rec ran for seven seasons from 2009 to 2015.
When it comes to a potential reboot, the Severence star admitted that he thought the series finale left off in a good place.

“The show itself, the series finale kind of took us to the end. It jumped pretty far ahead into the future, so I’m not sure what else there is to add, but it’s entirely not up to me at all,” he said.

Though nearly a decade has passed since the sitcom has been on air, Scott previously told PEOPLE that the cast has kept close and confessed that he missed seeing his former costars on a daily basis.
"I miss everybody. We all are on a text chain, and at least once a week we all add to the chain, and it's great. Everyone's so great. I really miss them," he explained. "They're the best. It was so fun. No one took it for granted. We all had a blast... I know people say that about their shows. It's annoying, but it really was so fun, and everyone ... got that it was special, and no one was sick of going to work."
