Actor Jason Watkins opens up about two-year-old daughter’s sudden death in new documentary

Jason Watkins and his wife Clara Francis have opened up about the tragedy of losing their two-year-old daughter to sepsis.

The actor tells the emotional story of how his daughter Maudie died suddenly in the early hours of New Year’s Day in 2011.

“It does feel something to be shared, and it can help us and other people, he says in this trailer for Jason & Clara: In Memory of Maudie.

Clara says the film, for her, is about breaking the taboo of speaking to people about the “grim” reality of child loss.
