"My Achilles gave out," Evan Ferry Injury Update
Phoenix Racing Honda's newest rider, Evan Ferry, had a good 250SX West Heat Race #1 going at Anaheim 1 until his "Achilles gave out" from a crash, ending his night early.
The second-generation rider was in the top four in his second supercross event before crashing off the track. He was lying on his side, favoring his right leg, and was helped onto a cart by the Alpinestars medical crew after the race.
He took to Instagram that night to give his update regarding the incident.
At a loss for words right now. Did absolutely everything I could the months leading up to Anaheim. Had an awesome heat race going in qualifying position battling with some gnarly dudes, and unfortunately my Achilles gave out. No idea how long I’ll be out but I will be back! Keep yall updated!🫡 just want to give a huge thanks to the whole entire @phxracinghonda team for believing in me! Thanks team❤️ - Evan Ferry via Instagram
