It may be time to ring in a new year of television, but there are some auld acquaintances we can’t let be forgot.

As is usually the case, Netflix viewers had to say the highest number of goodbyes this year, with the streaming giant wrapping up no fewer than 15 of its original series (from the supernatural dramedy Dead Boy Detectives to the Greek mythology-inspired KAOS). But whether you invested your TV-watching time in broadcast, cable or streaming the most, chances are you lost a favorite or two in this eventful year.
NOTE: Our list — chronologically ordered by series finale airdate — does not include a) shows that were cancelled this year but aired their final episodes in 2023 or earlier (Max’s Our Flag Means Death, for example), or b) shows that announced a final season this year but won’t wrap up until 2025 or later (like Prime Video’s The Boys or Netflix’s Outer Banks).
Scroll through the list below to reflect on this year’s many swan songs, then hit the comments with the show(s) you’ll miss most.
