This $75 Million Ranch With Over 3,500 Acres Is Maui’s Largest Property for Sale
What would you do with 3,500 acres of land in a paradisiacal setting? Hana Ranch on the Hawaiian island of Maui affords you the chance to utilize your imagination. And as the island’s largest property available for purchase and one of the state’s few private holdings of its size, Hana Ranch, priced at $75 million, provides ample space to dream up something spectacular.
The site was established as a working cattle ranch in 1944, and today it also offers breadfruit orchards, equestrian facilities, and relaxing ocean views. A total of 37 separate parcels comprise the expansive ranch, which is managed by a paniolo, the Hawaiian term for “cowboy,” while two water companies manage the natural resource at the secluded estate. The current owner developed a land-use plan based on regenerative agriculture that produces its tropical fruit and employs rotational grazing along with a commitment to the restoration of the land’s forests. About 250 acres of additional leased pasturelands come with the picturesque rural spread that lies in the rolling hills above Maui’s eastern coast, just 10 minutes from Hana Airport.

The modest two-bedroom residence on the grounds features a territorial-style facade, similar to many homes across the Aloha State, or what some might call paradise. A pastel-green hue coats the exterior of its 1,828 square feet, allowing it to blend seamlessly into the landscape. Other ranch and farm buildings are scattered about the grounds, plus a rodeo arena and water wells. Hana Ranch, with 1,000 acres of forest to traverse, is ideal for explorers, while the miles of ranch roads and private hiking and equestrian trails grant a rare seclusion along with unfettered views of the ocean and sunlit mountains.
The property is fixed in Hana, one of Hawaii’s most isolated communities and one of the first areas settled by Polynesians. Hotspots like Wailua Falls, an 80-foot waterfall, and Haleakalā National Park, which has scenic hiking trails that lead to fresh-water caves, are worth a visit when leaving the Hana Ranch’s endless acreage.
Beth Thoma Robinson, Matt Beall, and Josh Jerman of Hawai’I Life hold the listing.
