The Croatian professional tennis player Donna Vekic was in Melbourne this week for the Australian Open where she has made it to the round of 16. On Sunday, she will face Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova from Russia. Australian fashion designer and entrepreneur Pip Edwards was also at the Australian Open last week, enjoying the tennis in her Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust. She is the co-founder of the activewear brand called P.E Nation, which she recently left to become creative director at Ksubi. Her choice of watch reflects her stylish but sporty lifestyle with its mix of Oystersteel, yellow gold, diamonds, black dial, and date. A fun fact about this timepiece is that it was the first self-winding water-resistant wristwatch to display the date in a window at three o’clock in 1945. The price tag for this watch is around $18,300.

Peso Pluma: Jacob & Co. Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon

Mexican singer, musician, and rapper Peso Pluma, best known for hits “Ella baila sola” and “La Bebe”, not to mention for being the first Mexican artist to reach number one on Spotify’s Global charts, was spotted this week wearing a Jacob & Co. Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon in blue DLC-treated titanium. The shape of the watch is inspired by Bugatti’s famous horseshoe grill, while its manual-winding movement and automaton are inspired by the Bugatti’s W16 engine block. This caliber is composed of a whopping 578 components and features a 30-degree inclined one-minute tourbillon and a power reserve indicator (60 hours) at nine o’clock. The price tag of this timepiece is around $330,000.

Kevin Hart: Audemars Piguet Openworked Jules Audemars Minute Repeater Jumping Hours

Comedian and Actor Kevin Hart posted a picture of himself on Instagram this week wearing an Audemars Piguet Openworked Jules Audemars Minute Repeater Jumping Hours. This 43 mm platinum timepiece houses the hand-wound Caliber AP 2907 which combines the minute repeater and jumping hours complications. It is made up of 412 parts that have been openworked and put on display on the dial side of the watch. The jumping hours are displayed through a window at the center of the dial, while a single hand indicates the minutes. This timepiece cost $600,000 when it was launched in 2012.

Tom Brady: Richard Mille RM052 Skull

Legendary former professional football quarterback Tom Brady was filming this week with Dude Perfect, a YouTube channel best known for its fun content that involves trick shots and stunts. Tom Brady joined the team for a game of Balloon Duck Hunt where they tried to pop balloons with a football. Brady was playing with his Richard Mille RM052 Skull watch, a timepiece that makes the skull an integral part of the movement as it takes over the role of baseplate and bridges. The upper and lower jaws hold the ruby of the tourbillon cage, while the back of the skull becomes the center bridge, and the bridges double up as the crossbones of a pirate flag. Price on request.
