Both gentlemen are Omega fans and were in Bienne for a tour of the brand’s museum and facilities. Will Ferrell: Rolex Submariner Date
Actor Will Ferrell was photographed on the red carpet this week wearing a Rolex Submariner Date. This model is best known by its nickname “The Hulk” thanks to its green Cerachrom bezel with platinum-filled numerals and a sunburst green dial. This was the first Rolex Submariner to be fitted with a green dial and debuted at the BaselWorld watch fair in 2010. Initially, the model with the black dial and green bezel was the most sought-after version, but when rumors began that Rolex wanted to discontinue the all-green “Hulk”, prices started to rise. Prices have settled down since, but it remains a hot model among Rolex enthusiasts. The price of a vintage “Hulk” on the secondary market ranges between $16,000 and $22,000.
