James Marsden Gives Ryan Gosling Parenting Advice

James Marsden has been dishing out parenting advice to new father Ryan Gosling.

The 41-year-old actor, who has three children, Jack, 13, Mary, nine, and William, 22 months, from two previous relationships, has told his former Notebook co-star to "enjoy every moment" of parenthood.

Speaking to Yahoo, James said: "Make it through the first year! You'll get your sleep eventually. You go through those sleep-deprived months where you don't know who you are or where you are, or whats happening. But just enjoy every second of it I guess."

However, the hunky star doesnt think Ryan, 33, needs much advice from anyone because he believes hes pretty clued up on whats to expect as a father anyway.

He explained: "Hes a good man. Hes very intelligent and he seems very in tune with his young self."

Ryan and his girlfriend Eva Mendes, who first started dating in 2011, welcomed their first child, daughter, Esmerelda into the world last month.
