Wills, Kate & George bring the royal tour to Oz!

They charmed New Zealand from the minute they stepped off the plane in Wellington on April 7, and when The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge touch down in Australia today the royal fever is set to ramp up!

From Kate's stunning fashions, to the hope of another sighting of Prince George, to proud-dad William's joy at showing his young family around Oz - excitement is building!

Their Royal Highnesses will touch down in Sydney and will be greeted by the newly appointed Governor-General, Sir Peter Cosgrove, Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Governor of NSW Marie Bashir, Former Lord Mayor Sir Nicholas Shehadie and Premier of NSW, Barry O’Farrell.

From here they head to the Sydney Opera House where they will kick off the Australian leg of their tour with an official reception co-hosted by the Governor and the Premier of NSW.

Up to 400 guests are expected to attend the welcome reception, among them are young leaders close to Their Royal Highnesses’ age and are excelling in areas of community, arts, sports (in particular Commonwealth Games), volunteering, health and education.

They will be treated to a performance by the NSW Public Schools Aboriginal Dance Company before departing by boat to travel across Sydney Harbour to Admirality House, where they'll stay as guests of the Governor-General.

Before departing New Zealand, the royal couple will squeeze in a few last engagements.

Wills and Kate will met with recruits at the RNZ Police College and pay their respects to those officers killed on duty.

They will also be treated to a training display, including a police dog demonstration.

From here they conclude their visit to New Zealand with a short walk through the Wellington Civic Centre where they will sign the city's visitors book to help commemorate their stay.

Although their time in New Zealand is coming to an end, the family still has a lot to look forward to during their 10-day tour of our fine country.

Other highlights of their time in NSW include a visit to the Blue Mountain region where they will meet with survivors of the 2013 bushfires, the Royal Easter Show, and viewing our lifesavers in action on the iconic Manly Beach.

Kensington Palace are yet to confirm which event Prince George is expected to attended however speculation is rife that he will join his parents when they visit Taronga Zoo where they will inspect the bilby enclosure that was named in honour of the young prince when he was born.

The Duchess is also expected to make a solo visit to Bear Cottage in Manly, where she will spend time with sick children as part of her campaign to raise awareness of the importance of care for terminally ill children, just as she did at Rainbow Place in Hamilton.

On April 22 their tour will take them to the red centre with an overnight stay in the Northern Territory to visit Uluru, just like Charles and Di did back in 1983.

The couple will then head to Adelaide where they will tour the suburb of Elizabeth - named after the queen – as well as a tour of Northern Sound System and a state reception.

The Duke and Duchess will wrap up their tour in the nation’s capital on April 24 and 25, attending the Anzac Day service before officially wrapping up their royal tour.
