Victoria Beckham may have been up the night before her New York Fashion Week S/S 2012/13 show “obsessing about a collar,” but it seems she had nothing to worry about, with front row attendees “extremely impressed”.

Among them were Beckham’s devoted husband, David, and their 14-month old daughter, Harper, who has become a regular at Victoria’s fashion week shows.

David, who “had to listen” to Victoria while she fretted about the collection, looked calm and suave as he arrived at the show with Harper ensconced in his arms.

And despite the fact that Victoria was up all night contemplating the collection, her team had clocked off in the days before, with the Telegraph UK reporting, “Victoria is so organised, that there are no all-nighters.”

Beckham said she’d “listened carefully” to her customers this time around, saying she was aware they wanted versatility, “and that means separates”.

"I've always wanted to do tailoring, but I couldn't get the shoulders right - I like them very neat, - so we parked it,” said Beckham last year.

This time around, her spring/summer 2013 collection comprised perfectly tailored separates, including the “ultimate” cigarette pants. Gone were the body-con dresses of season’s past, replaced instead with flirty skirts and sleek, high collared necklines.

It seems Victoria’s audience agreed with the new look, with front row guests whooping and cheering at the end of the show.

Beckham was so visibly overwhelmed by the response that she was seen covering her face with her hands in shock at the end of the runway.

Following the show, she tweeted: 'Relieved! Can't believe it's over. Thank you #vbteam!!! #vbss13 #nyfw X vb.'
