Emma Ferrer burst onto the modelling scene when she walked in the Lanvin show at Paris Fashion Week in September.

Now, the 20-year old granddaughter of Audrey Hepburn has nabbed a contract with Storm Model Management, which famously counts Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne as clients.

While the industry is in a spin over the news, Ferrer cautions that she's not out to copy her grandmother's career.

"What can be bothersome and confusing is when people are disappointed to see I'm not her carbon copy, nor would I want to be," Ferrer told the Telegraph UK. "I want to be a person that she would be proud of, and I hope she would be proud because of who I am."

The model added that she thought Hepburn's strength was her desire to help people, a trait she hoped others would see in herself.

"All I can compare is what I live of her through my father and family," she says. "She had a desire to help people and make the world more beautiful, and I undeniably feel the same. I guess that runs in the family. When it's these kinds of comparisons, no I'm never bothered, but rather honoured."

In terms of her modelling career, Ferrer said she was looking forward to experiencing the artistic side of the business.

"I am more looking forward to meeting different photographers with different visions and learning about fashion today through them," Ferrer said. "For now, a unique experience with a photographer with a strong artistic vision and creating beautiful images is my idea of a perfect 'modelling job'."
