What excites you most about spring racing season?

I love the traditions that come with Melbourne Cup Carnival – everything from the fashion to the food...and of course celebrating with a great champagne. This year I am excited to be formally involved in the event as the G.H. MUMM Marquee Ambassador and as part of my role will be performing for G.H. MUMM guests with my band, Van Hoorn.

How do you prepare for a day at the races?

Personally I love the whole process of preparing for the races, from selecting the outfit, getting the mani and pedi, to exfoliation and moisturising, they are a must. It’s all part of the celebration that is the races experience.

What are the big trackside trends this season?

This year it is about keeping the lines, clean clear and simple.

How about accessories?

I like to pile on the accessories!

Who are your favourite designers?

Camilla and Marc, Manning Cartell, Chanel, Isabel Marant, Alexander McQueen & Celine.

What do you think makes someone stylish?

Coco Chanel once said “fashion fades, only style stays the same”. A stylish person is someone who dresses with a sense of self.

What will you be drinking trackside?

I will be sipping on G.H. MUMM, the official Champagne of the Melbourne Cup Carnival and number one international champagne house in France.

Any tips on how to back a winner?

I always bet on seven - my lucky number!

Do you have a lucky charm?

Shells! Lots of them!

Finally, what are your top 3 racing dos and don’ts?

Do dress up stylishly in nothing too short or revealing, Celebrate in style with a glass of G.H. MUMM champagne, enjoy the occasion with good friends, and get involved in all of the great traditions and rituals that make this such a special event.

Don’t take your high heels off at the end of the day! Also don't wear sequins or forget to eat throughout the day.
