Blake Lively Channeled 'Alice in Wonderland' in a Whimsical Sequin Minidress and Mushroom Purse

She's got the magic in her.

Blake Lively has jumped on the theme-dressing bandwagon in preparation of her upcoming film, It Ends With Us. In the movie, which is an adaptation of the Colleen Hoover novel of the same name, Lively plays flower shop owner, Lily Bloom, and the actress is dressing the part.

On Wednesday, the actress stepped out in New York City to celebrate the launch of her new hair-care line, Blake Brown, in a look that gave a subtle nod to her character—as well as Alice in Wonderland: a blue-and-white sequin Dauphinette minidress with a water lily and fish print. The hem of the dress featured yellow and red beaded fringe that tied in her Dorothy-inspired sparkly ruby slippers (Christian Louboutin, of course) and blingy mushroom purse.

She accessorized with chunky teal earrings and bauble rings, and her signature blonde hair was styled in a deep side part and tousled waves. Her glam consisted of dewy skin, peach eyeshadow, and a pink lip. At one point, Lively added a matching, multi-color embellished duster jacket.

Earlier in the day, Lively stepped out in another Lily Bloom-inspired dress with a plunging neckline, floral print, and ruffled skirt. Blush-colored peep-toe heels with frilly flower appliqués on the back completed the OOTD.

Lively also shared a series of photos from an event in which she wore a business-professional Canadian tuxedo with sequin flower embellishments, which she said reminded her of her middle-school fashion sense.

"Stretchy dark denim with iron on crystals is back," she wrote alongside the snaps. "Thank you gen z for your contribution to bringing back my middle school dream clothes."
