Zoë Foster Blake's $45 face oil wins big in MECCA awards

Zoë Foster Blake has thanked her customers after her highly successful Go-To Face Hero face oil took out the top spot in the 2020 MECCA Beauty Election awards.

According to MECCA, hundreds of thousands of people voted, with Face Hero beating out brands like Drunk Elephant, Kate Somerville and Tatcha to be crowned the winner in the ‘Best For Winter Skin’ category.

“Thank you everyone who voted, and for all the support you guys show for Go-To. WE FEEL IT.,” Zoe said on Instagram.

It’s no surprise that the $45 30ml bottle of goodness is taking out top awards, with over 1,400 glowing reviews on MECCA’s website and influencers fawning over the skincare saviour.

It’s packed full of essential ingredients and includes a whopping 10 plant and nut oils, which have been lauded for minimising the appearance of fine lines and dark spots and helping to soothe dryness and inflammation.

Speaking to The New York Times recently, 39-year-old Zoë revealed that she thought of the idea for Go-To after all her years working as a beauty editor for brands like Cosmopolitan and Harper’s Bazaar.

“I thought there was a huge gap in skin care for just something simple. It was legacy bands or really clinical brands or supermarket brands,” she said.

“I just wanted it to be simple and uncomplicated, clean, trustworthy products that you wouldn’t be wasting money on and would know which ingredients actually worked.”
