Zendaya and Robert Pattinson Film New Movie “The Drama” Together in Massachusetts
Zendaya and Robert Pattinson costar in 'The Drama' with Alana Haim and Mamoudou Athie
Robert Pattinson and Zendaya are at work on a new movie.
On Tuesday, Nov. 19, Pattinson, 38, and Zendaya, 28, were seen spending time together on the set of their upcoming movie The Drama in Andover, Massachusetts, where the town's Addison Gallery of American Art was staged as a fictional art museum for the upcoming feature.
Both actors smiled they stood together outdoors and chatted. Pattinson clutched a pair of glasses in one hand and what appeared to be ID cards in the other, while Zendaya placed her hands in the pockets of a large coat and wore a bag over her shoulder.
Pattinson and Zendaya have been shooting in Massachusetts and the larger Boston area for multiple weeks now. Boston.com first reported that the Dune actress was in the city on Oct. 17, and she was seen spending time with her boyfriend Tom Holland in Boston on Nov. 8.
Little is known about Pattinson and Zendaya's upcoming movie; multiple outlets reported the two would costar in The Drama back in August. As both The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline shared at that time, the movie appears to follow "a couple whose romance changes dramatically before their big day." Actors Mamoudou Athie (Kinds of Kindness) and Alana Haim (Licorice Pizza), the latter of whom is also known for her work in music with her band Haim, will costar in The Drama alongside Pattinson and Zendaya.

A24 is financing and producing the movie from writer-director Kristoffer Borgli, whose last film Dream Scenario starred Nicolas Cage as a man who unwittingly becomes famous when people across the world begin seeing him in their dreams.
Coincidentally, The Drama marks the second movie Zendaya has filmed in Boston and its surrounding area in recent years. The tennis drama Challengers, in which she costarred with Mike Faist and Josh O'Connor, filmed primarily in Boston.
Production on The Drama comes toward the end of a year that saw Zendaya star in Challengers and Dune: Part Two. The actress appears to have a busy year ahead, too, including filming for Christopher Nolan's next movie, in which she and Holland, 28, will costar with Matt Damon and Anne Hathaway.
Pattinson, meanwhile, has not appeared on the big screen since he took on Bruce Wayne in 2022's The Batman; he also voiced a character in the English dub of the 2023 anime The Boy and the Heron. Pattinson will next appear in a movie with Mickey 17, director Bong Joon-ho's follow-up to his 2019 Academy Award-winning thriller Parasite. Mickey 17's release has been delayed several times and is currently expected to hit theaters April 18, 2025.
