Zac Efron Just Broke His Silence After Experiencing A "Swimming Incident" In Ibiza
Zac Efron says he's "happy and healthy" after reports that he was hospitalized this weekend following a swimming incident in Ibiza.
According to People, the actor, 36, had been using a pool at a villa on Friday when the incident occurred.
While the exact details of what happened are not yet known, Zac's rep described it to People as a "minor" accident.
The rep said Zac was simply hospitalized for "precautionary measures" before being released the next day. "He is fine," the rep added.
Zac himself later addressed the incident on Instagram, writing that he was "happy and healthy" and thanking fans for their "well wishes." He shared the post alongside a photo of him working out outdoors.
Recently, the High School Musical star was in Paris for the 2024 Olympics. Last week, he posted an excited selfie to Instagram as he arrived to watch the opening ceremony. He also supported Simone Biles after her big win with Team USA on Tuesday, saying he was "incredibly proud" of her.
People reports that Zac later traveled to Spain to make an appearance with DJ Martin Garrix at the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel. Video from the event showed him dancing onstage with Garrix as the crowd cheered.
So glad he's okay!
