Zac Efron Hires John Cena to Be His Fake Best Friend in Raunchy “Ricky Stanicky” Trailer
'Ricky Stanicky' is on Prime Video March 7
Zac Efron enlists John Cena after being caught in a years-long lie in their new raunchy comedy.
On Friday, Amazon MGM Studios debuted the first trailer for Ricky Stanicky, in which three childhood best friends, Dean, JT and Wes (Efron, Andrew Santino, and Jermaine Fowler) make up an imaginary friend named Ricky Stanicky as an excuse to get out of things.
"Twenty years after creating this 'friend,' Dean, JT and Wes still use the nonexistent Ricky as a handy alibi for their immature behavior," according to a synopsis.
However, "When their spouses and partners get suspicious and demand to finally meet the fabled Mr. Stanicky, the guilty trio decide to hire washed-up actor and raunchy celebrity impersonator 'Rock Hard' Rod (Cena) to bring him to life."
Rod gets carried away with his newfound acting gig, though, and Dean, JT and Wes "begin to wish they’d never invented Ricky in the first place."
