The Bachelor villain Romy Poulier pulled off quite the ‘mean girl’ character till her shock exit last night, and if you’ve been thinking she looks familiar, you have good reason to.
The 29-year-old blonde appeared on Home and Away earlier this year, playing Odette who is closely linked to Sarah Roberts’ character, Willow.
What’s more, Romy has confirmed she’s a professional actress, and even hinted she could’ve been planted on The Bachelor with the intent of stirring some serious trouble in the mansion.
Romy’s admission came after a caller rang in with an interesting comment on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O show on Friday.
“I have a friend of a friend who has come out and said – now, they know your brother, Romy – and he has said that you’re a paid plant,” the caller said.
“I’m an actor. There’s all these rumours going around that I’ve been paid,” she responded.
‘Well, look. I’m an actress and I was paid on the show, as was everyone else. My trade is acting, so you do the math.”
At this stage host Jackie O was thinking what many of us would be.
“When I do the math I think, ‘Yeah, you were a paid plant’,” said Jackie.
Romy said she wasn’t necessarily a plant, but that “we are a cast, after all” and her time on the show “turned into a role pretty quickly”.
A look at Romy’s acting showreel reveals she auditioned to play Schapelle Corby in the 2014 televmovie.
She’s also appeared in US drama Terra Nova and earlier this week a source told Woman’s Day that Romy had previously auditioned to compete in My Kitchen Rules.
Last night Romy shocked viewers when she told Nick Cummins, aka The Honey Badger, that she wouldn’t accept his final rose for the night.
She joined her Bachelor BFF’s Cat and Alisha in leaving the mansion, along with intruder Brittney.
