Jenna Ortega Appeared To Pay Homage To Winona Ryder's Iconic Red "Beetlejuice" Dress At The Sequel's Premiere Red Carpet
The Venice Film Festival has officially kicked off, which means memorable red carpet fashion moments are on the horizon. Well, Taylor Russell has already set the bar high on Wednesday when she attended the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice premiere in a captivating look.
The Bones and All actor is in Venice as part of the jury for the festival's Best First Work category. While Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is anything but a first film for its legendary director Tim Burton, Russell still made time for the premiere.
For the occasion, she wore a vintage Chanel Haute Couture gown.
The gown is from the brand's Spring 1993 collection, where model Claudia Schiffer debuted it down the runway.
It's anything but a simple white dress.
The 31-year-old gown feels quite modern with the see-through and corset-like bodice, as well as the oversized peplum.
Taylor wasn't the only celeb with some seriously cool style at the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice premiere. Star of the film Jenna Ortega donned a notable custom red Dior dress.
It may or may not have been a reference to Winona Ryder's character Lydia Deetz's iconic red wedding gown in the original 1988 film.
Jenna plays Lydia's daughter, Astrid, in the film.
Here's Lydia's dress:
Speaking of Winona, she wore a Chanel tuxedo gown.
And Catherine O'Hara, who plays Lydia's stepmother Delia in both films, stepped out in a black Oscar de la Renta dress.
Michael Keaton, Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci, and Justin Theroux were among the other Team Beetlejuice Beetlejuice members in attendance.
Other celebs made their way, too, including Cate Blanchett...
...Sigourney Weaver...
...Patti Smith...
...and Isabelle Huppert.
