You star Lukas Gage and Never Have I Ever’s Megan Suri have joined the cast for new sci-fi movie Companion.

As reported by Deadline, the pair will star alongside Harvey Guillén and Jack Quaid in the new film, which is being developed by the same team behind smash-hit horror Barbarian.

Companion will be the feature debut from Drew Hancock, who has also penned the script; plot details for the film are currently under wraps.

Gage joined Netflix’s You for the fourth season, playing the role of Adam Pratt across the season’s two parts earlier this year.

It was revealed in March that the show had been renewed for a fifth and final season, though there was a change behind the scenes with Sara Gamble stepping down as showrunner.

“As I step back from day-to-day showrunning to focus on new projects, I’m immensely grateful to co-creator and all-around genius Greg Berlanti, Caroline Kepnes, my friends at Berlanti Productions and Alloy Entertainment, and our steadfast partners at Warner Bros and Netflix,” said Gamble in a statement.

“Making the show alongside our writers, producers, directors, cast and crew has been an honour and ridiculously fun. I feel lucky to have worked with an artist as gifted and thoughtful as Penn Badgley.

“I’m proud of what we’ve all accomplished and feel privileged to pass the torch. I’m excited to watch and support the You team as they bring Joe Goldberg’s journey to its delightfully twisted conclusion,” she continued.

Suri played Aneesa on Never Have I Ever, which concluded this week with its fourth and final season. Lead actress Maitreyi Ramakrishnan spoke last year to Digital Spy of the show’s impending conclusion, saying she was happy with the ending.

“I’m very happy with how the season ends,” she began. "Honestly, what’s been a really big blessing is that everyone on Never Have I Ever, in all the different crew departments, the cast, the writers, the directors – we all knew that season 4 would be our last. Sometimes you don’t get to know when it’s going to be your last, right?

"So we got to actually know, and because of that, we got to really give it our all and I think we give it our all – and then some. It’s good."

You seasons 1-4 are streaming on Netflix. A fifth and final season has been announced.
