He played Samantha Jones drop dead gorgeous toyboy in Sex and The City.

But Jason Lewis — who played Smith Jerrod for 16 episodes of the HBO show — has had a dramatic makeover and is now barely recognisable as the hunky waiter that stole commitment-phobe Samantha’s heart.

In a photo shared to his Instagram account recently, the hottie is sporting long brown hair that flows down past his shoulders.

The actor, now 48, still has those piercing blue eyes, but he’s channeling a much rockier image.

Completing his rockstar makeover, he’s wearing blue lens sunnies and holding his hands up in a signature rocker pose.

His dramatic look has left fans in surprise, with most saying they “love it”.

That hair is so wild and free!” one said underneath the photo, while another added the switcheroo was “wow” alongside a love eye emoji.

Jason is no stranger to changing up his appearance though, as a clip from Seeds of Yesterday filmed in 2015 showed how he matured into his looks since he shot those raunchy scenes alongside Kim Cattrall in 2003.

In the movie he still had those blonde locks you’d recognise from SATC, but they’re swept back off his face in sleek instead of the boyish flop he rocked on the show.

But while he’s best known for his on-screen romance with Kim, Jason raised a few eyebrows recently when he weighed in on her feud with SATC co-star Sarah Jessica Parker, taking her side.

The leading ladies have been locked in a bitter battle of words since 2016, with Kim accusing SJP of mistreating her on set.

“Listen, I would have to say that Sarah was always just so lovely and such a consummate professional,” he told KTLA in February. “I think that people should remember their graciousness and the things that have been given to them.”
