The new anthology show sees David Oyelowo take on the role of the titular historical figure, who rose from being a slave to becoming the first Black US Marshal west of the Mississippi.
It has now been confirmed that the series will premiere on the streaming platform on Sunday, November 5 in the UK and internationally with two episodes.
A new teaser for the series has also been released, promising plenty of action to come across its run.
As well as Oyelowo, Bass Reeves packs an impressive cast including City on a Hill's Lauren E Banks, Perry Mason's Shea Whigham, Goliath's Dennis Quaid and The Hunger Games' Donald Sutherland.
Also on board are The Walking Dead's Margot Bingham, True Blood's Dale Dickey, Yellowstone's Mo Brings Plenty, The Chi's Tosin Morohunfola, Forrest Goodluck, Barry Pepper and King Richard's Demi Singleton.
"Revealing the untold story of the most legendary lawman in the Old West, Lawmen: Bass Reeves follows the journey of Reeves (Oyelowo) and his rise from enslavement to law enforcement as the first Black US Marshal west of the Mississippi," the synopsis reads.
"Despite arresting over 3,000 outlaws during the course of his career, the weight of the badge was heavy, and he wrestled with its moral and spiritual cost to his beloved family," it adds, with future iterations of the show set to "follow other iconic lawmen and outlaws who have impacted history".
The series comes from Chad Feehan and also counts Oyelowo and Yellowstone's Taylor Sheridan as executive producers.
The show was originally touted as an offshoot of Yellowstone spin-off 1883, itself a prequel to the main series.
Lawmen: Bass Reeves will premiere on Paramount+ on Sunday, November 5.
