Woolies selling cheese advent calendars featuring 12 festive flavours

They say it’s the most wonderful time of the year, and the friendly folks at Woolworths have just made Christmas even more wonderful with an early pressie for cheese-lovers.

The supermarket has just dropped a fancy-schmancy cheese advent calendar featuring 12 festive flavours.

The Ilchester ‘12 Days of Cheesemas’ advent calendar contains 240g of pure fromage joy hidden behind a dozen cheery red cardboard doors.

Among the delectable UK-made cheesy delights are Applewood (aka smoked cheddar), the golden and mellow Double Gloucester and some crumbly Red Leicester.

There’s even a yuletide special tucked in there, Wensleydale with Gingerbread, which is a soft and sweet cheese flavoured with the quintessential Christmas baked treat.

Best of all, the exclusive-to-Woolies advent calendar costs a cheap and cheerful $16 so our advice is to harness the reindeers, ready the sleigh and head on over to your local store - or to their online shop - before it sells out.
