Whether she is running a high-intensity Nike+ Training Club (NTC) class in her home country or traveling the world to share her passion for fitness, Godso’s fitness philosophy starts with finding exercises and workouts that each person actually enjoys — then slowly building strength and athleticism.

“When you just start out, you have to find something you love and you have to have some commitment,” Godso says. “We’re always working fun into our workouts. I’m a goof. I love to laugh and I try to bring that sense of fun into all of my workouts.”

She also believes in a combination of high-intensity workouts and strength training, all while constantly increasing goals and finding new limits. To Godso, the end goal of exercise shouldn’t be about aesthetics, it should be about exploration and building strength.

“You can’t just stick to one thing your whole life,” Godso asserts. “You’ll never find real progression. Just because you’re not an elite athlete, doesn’t mean you can’t train like one.”

Here are her top 3 tips to ramp up your training. Yep, you’ll be #betterforit.

1.Commit.
“Like anything worth having, there is some work required to getting there. Don't expect results too quickly. Try and establish a relationship with exercise where you actually want to turn up! This may mean training with friends, going to workouts you enjoy like dance, Pilates, HIIT. If you enjoy your workouts, you're much more likely to keep making time for them in your schedule.”

2. Mix it up.
“Think about your training like you do your food. You wouldn't want to eat the exact same thing every meal right? Adding variety into your schedule will not only maximise your results but it will keep you stay mentally engaged and working hard! The NTC App has a wide range of workouts from 5 to 45 minutes duration that cover everything from High - Intensity to Yoga.”

3. Mobility
“Don't ignore the importance of stretching and lengthening our body after all the work we’ve done. Foam rolling is awesome for this, as is yoga and any form of dynamic stretching such as the Reach and Recharge workout on the NTC app. These should be included in your weekly routine in order to get the most out of your input and reduce chances of injury.”
