Hello, spring!

And buh-bye, hibernation! If you’re anything like me, you got a little “pasta happy” over winter and now there’s a teeny bit more of you to love.

Happily, these warmer days also mean spending more time outside playing. Like most Aussie women, sport’s been part of my life since I first tied on a Goal Attack bib for the Miller Magpies Under 8s netball team.

And although I’m into solo challenges like running more than team sports right now, seeing other women achieve their best makes me want to go for gold, too.

So this issue we salute the incredible Australian women who’ve been nominated in our annual I Support Women In Sport Awards, now in their fifth game- changing year. These athletes are making a difference on both a community level and the world stage, so get behind them! It’s as easy as casting your vote in our awards – see how on p122.
