Wearing a pristine white jumpsuit and a big smile on her face, Eleanor Walton, from Leeds, UK, left home for her fun day at the Ripon Races in North Yorkshire on Sunday.

Just a few hours later, she’d suffered everyone’s worst nightmare: someone spilled red wine all down her outfit, which was from fast-fashion retailer Pretty Little Thing.

Luckily, her quick-thinking girlfriends leapt into action with a genius red wine rescue hack that will go down in history.

Lady in red

Eleanor’s gal pal Mia took to Twitter to share the brainwave she had after seeing her friend splattered with the burgundy liquid.

Her solution? More wine!

According to Eleanor, they “soaked” the top part of her jumpsuit in the venue’s bathroom sink to obscure the initial stain.

They also artfully splashed more vino on lower part of the suit before Eleanor popped under the hand dryer to dry off.

The result was a rather groovy tie-dye number that was entirely one-of-a-kind, prompting Mia to tweet, “I think we’ve just made a new product to PLTs festival range.”

Tick of approval

Mia was certainly onto something, with Pretty Little Thing raising their proverbial glass and giving Eleanor’s new and improved threads their blessing.

“Safe to say that wasn’t a ‘pour’ decision,” the brand tweeted.

Keep your eyes peeled for Eleanor’s booze-inspired look - we reckon it’ll be a hit.

Fans on social media were also loving it, with one person writing, “Looks better now as well.”

“This is brilliant,” said another.

“I actually can’t get over this. This is ART gals,” wrote one.

“Waiting for PLT to release this tomorrow xxxx,” another added.
