A shopper has taken it upon themselves to hilariously recreated a questionable skirt being sold by fashion retailer PrettyLittleThing.

She was able to pretty much replicate the exact look for a fraction of the cost using clingfilm from the kitchen cupboard.

Natasha took to Twitter to slam the retailer, writing, “Bit harsh charging your customers £25 ($45) for this look when i just made it myself for less than a quid ($1.50).”

She uploaded a picture of herself posing in the garden with cling film wrapped around her in a bid to recreate the look.

“Icon,” was one person’s reaction.

“This is great,” another said.

The brand’s transparent range includes a see-through bandeau bra-let, a lime transparent crop jacket, and straight-leg trousers in three (still see-through) colours.

So Natasha wasn’t the only person to call the fashion retailer out on its questionable festival wear.

“I mean really is this stuff for real... this needs to stop.”

Other users also used their social media platforms to talk about environmentally-friendly fashion.

“I’m sorry but... wtaf?! Clear see through polyester what is the actual point?!! All this stuff about being more environmentally minded not creating much waste and yet OfficialPLT deem this as worthy of being made…” one person wrote.

And this is not the only brand selling translucent clothing.

Earlier this year ASOS was called out for a new pair of trousers on the website – which are totally see-through.

Sadly it looks like plastic fashion isn’t going away anytime soon.
