After planning a night out with her girlfriends, 19-year-old Rhiannon Dishman decided to treat herself to a new dress.

Scouring the Pretty Little Thing website, the customer service assistant ordered what she believed to be a cobalt blue figure-hugging wrap dress in her usual size 14.

However, after trying on the $37 dress, Rhiannon, from Essex, couldn’t believe it when she discovered the ill-fitting outfit looked like a tent on her.

“When it arrived, it looked the exact same as the dress that I had seen on the website – until I decided to try it on,” Rhiannon said.

“It looked like I was trying to wear a tent, it was very baggy and the sleeves were massive, it wasn’t fitting at all like how it did on the models in the picture.

“I sent the outfit straight back, so I’ll have to go back to the drawing board of what to wear this weekend!”

Despite being annoyed that she was left without a new dress for her night out, Rhiannon reveals that friends and family got a good laugh out of her mishap.

“I was really shocked about what had happened, and pretty annoyed as this isn’t the first time this has happened to me,” she said.

“But all of my family and friends thought it was absolutely hilarious.

“Everyone said that it looked massive and ridiculous in comparison to the photo of it on the model – it was a real ‘expectation vs reality’ moment.

“Although everyone else got a good laugh out of the situation, I don’t think I’ll be buying from the site again as this keeps on happening to me!”
