Yahoo Lifestyle Woman killed after ceiling collapse
A woman in her 60s has died after the ceiling collapsed at her home, west of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Emergency services were called to a residence on South Kerton Rd at East Nanango about 1.30pm on Monday.
The Courier Mail reported the woman, aged 64, was found under rubble in the kitchen amid an ongoing DIY renovation project.
A Queensland Police spokesperson confirmed the woman died at the home in the state’s South Burnett region after being caught in the collapse.
The woman has not been formally identified by police, with a report to be prepared by officers for the coroner.
