Woman hears hissing noise when she pulls a nail out of her wall: ‘That’s not good’
A TikToker who goes by @sie_salt was shocked when she pulled a nail out of her wall and heard a hissing sound — and the strange home-renovation mishap had TikTokers mystified.

The TikToker was surprised recently when a simple DIY project went spectacularly wrong. She was trying to hang a new coat rack but encountered some resistance while hammering a nail into her wall. When the confused TikToker removed the nail, she heard air hissing out of the hole. The mysterious hissing sound had both @sie_salt and viewers truly perplexed.
“Bro, I was just trying to hang this,” the TikToker begins, showing a coat rack hanging from a single nail on her wall. The TikToker needs a second nail in order to finish attaching the coat rack to the wall, but she encounters a surprising problem.
She has nailed the second nail into the wall, but all is not what it seems. To demonstrate, the TikToker pulls the nail out of the wall. Immediately, air begins hissing out of the tiny nail hole, sounding almost like a tire deflating.
The TikToker looks at the camera with a shocked expression on her face. “What do I do?” she asks as the video ends.
Viewers are left confused by the hissing sound
Viewers were just as confused by the hissing sound as the TikToker.
“Imagine the house just deflates like a bounce house,” one viewer joked.
“Call the gas company or the fire department,” another TikToker suggested.
“In my professional opinion, that’s not good,” wrote another viewer.
In a follow-up video, the TikToker explained that she ultimately called emergency maintenance for help with the mysterious hole. They cut a larger hole in the wall to figure out what was going on and discovered that the TikToker had inadvertently punctured her neighbor’s HVAC system.

Fortunately, she was able to arrange for them to fix everything, but she might have to choose a different location for her coat rack.
