Upgrade Your Lunch Miranda Kerr Style

Miranda Kerr is a fan of quinoa while Gwyneth Patrow extols the virtues of agave nectar. Packed with antioxidants, superfoods “supercharge your body’s immunity,” says SumoSalad dietitian Georgie Moore. But it’s not just the exotic ingredients that can improve your health. Upgrade your lunch with these five foods “that give you the healthiest bang for your bite.”

Quinoa: With a healthy amount of all eight essential amino acids, it’s “not only a great source of protein, it is also low GI and gluten-free,” helping you feel fuller for longer.
Avocado: “High in the “good” fat, monounsaturated fat, they are also a great healthy option for lunch as they are a good source of folate and fibre,” says Moore.

Incaberries: Incaberries are a flavour-packed superfruit. “They have a high level of phosphorous, vitamin A, vitamin C and fibre.”

Spinach: One of the most nutritious foods available, spinach is “extremely rich in antioxidants.” It’s also great for skin health thanks to its high concentration of vitamin A.

Beetroot: “Virtually fat free and it has some significant heart protecting properties while the amazing colour and flavor makes it a super ingredient in any salad,” says Moore.
