Conscious uncoupling might be a longer process than we thought! Just two weeks after announcing her split from husband of 10 years Chris Martin, Gwyneth Paltrow resurfaced on Tuesday, April 8, running errands in Los Angeles.

Incidentally, while out and about in L.A. on Tuesday, the actress, 41, was also spotted wearing some notable jewelery on her left hand - her wedding ring. It was the first time she had been photographed since returning from her two-week family vacation to the Bahamas with Martin, 37, and their kids, Apple, 9, and Moses, 8.

Hours later, the actress took to Twitter with a sweet birthday message and photo for her son, who also turned 8 on April 8. Noticeably still present on Paltrow's left finger in the photo posted alongside the message? That wedding ring.

"Moses Bruce Paltrow Martin turns 8 today," the Goop founder, wrote alongside a photo of mum and son, with Paltrow, 41, hugging the birthday boy. Her left hand is displayed prominently in the cute picture, as is her wedding ring. "We love you!"

Announcing their split on Paltrow's lifestyle website, GOOP, on March 25, Paltrow & Martin insisted "we are...and always will be a family," also noting they are "parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children."

Paltrow and the British Coldplay singer met in 2002 and were married the next year in Southern California in a secret ceremony. Since their December 2003 wedding, they've weathered more than a few storms, with Paltrow admitting the challenges of marriage several times.

"It's hard being married," she told Glamour U.K. last June. "You go through great times, you go through terrible times. We're the same as any couple."

And while the couple weathered the turbulent storm for a decade, friends of the duo say a split was inevitable.

"They seemed to have a pretty mature handle on that crazy rotation of being superstars and parents. But that balance, given the time they had to spend apart, clearly couldn't sustain itself."

Despite their split, the pair have vowed to stay friends for the sake of their children.
