Lindsay Lohan Involved in Early Morning Car Accident

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan lightly struck another vehicle with her own car early Wednesday morning, police confirm.

"Early this morning, it appears Lindsay Lohan was cornered in a narrow parking lot by paparazzi and she grazed another vehicle in her attempt to get away," Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson Richard French tells WHO.

"Officers responded, and when they got there the owner of the car said there was no injury or damage to his vehicle. This is an extremely minor case."

According to TMZ.com, which first reported the incident, the actress, 25, grazed the knee and the car of a 26-year-old manager at Hookah Lounge in Hollywood while making a three-point turn and then reportedly drove away.

What happened next is murky. TMZ claims the manager first said he didn't need medical attention and that police soon confirmed no one was hurt and considered the case closed.

However, the club manager later reportedly went to the emergency room after complaining that he was, in fact, injured, and he has subsequently hired an attorney.

When reached, Lohan's rep gave WHO the following statement:

"Lindsay stopped by the club to drop in on a friend's birthday party. When she arrived, there were so many photographers there that she decided to leave and never even got out of the car."

"At no point was there ever any indication that her car hit anyone or anything," the statement continues. "We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the next few days."
