MKR's Tasia and Gracia: 'Yes, we talk really fast!'

Melbourne sisters Tasia and Gracia Seger know they are loud. They know they love to fight — and laugh — while they cook. They also know they are honest when critiquing other's food. What they didn't know until they were on Seven's My Kitchen Rules was just how it all came across.

"Everyone I know knows that Gracia and I speak pretty fast, in Indonesian and English," says Tasia, 26. "We didn't realise until we heard it ourselves."

Not only that, "our personalities are quite loud,” says Gracia, 25. "I'm really quite comfortable telling Tasia's what's wrong, so I think that's why it seems a bit hectic and you see us arguing a lot in the kitchen."

While the pair say their heated dynamic has helped them succeed in challenges, they admit they haven't been able to get away with what they thought would be a secret advantage — speaking another language.

"In some of the episodes, you hear us suddenly change to just speaking Indonesian," Tasia says, "but we didn't know they'd gotten subtitles, so that was like, OK, we can't get away with that one, either! When we saw our first subtitles during our first episode, we were like, oh my God, they're going to do that the whole way through!"
