In case you missed it, Garner told the mag, “I’m still the only person that knows some of his truths,” while discussing the father of her three children. “I always say, ‘When his sun shines on you, you feel it.’ But when the sun is shining elsewhere, it’s cold. He can cast quite a shadow.”

The day after the no-holds-barred article hit the Web, Affleck was scheduled to speak to the New York Times.

Naturally, the subject of Garner’s juicy interview came up, which Affleck addressed. “She felt like she wanted to discuss it and get it out there and get it over with, so she could say, ‘Look, I already talked about it — I don’t want to do it again,’” he explained. “It’s fine. She’s allowed to talk about it.”

The 43-year-old Oscar winner was adamant that he is still friendly with his ex-wife.

“Jen’s great. She’s a great person,” he said. “We’re on great terms. I just saw her this morning, so that’s the reality that I live in.”
