Sarah Michelle Gellar Shares the Secret to Her 13-Year Marriage with Freddie Prinze Jr.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. could be the poster children of lasting love in Hollywood.

After 13 years of marriage, Gellar says she and her hubby know exactly how they want to celebrate Valentine's Day – as a family with children Charlotte Grace, 6, and Rocky James, 3.

"When you have kids, [Valentine's Day] really just becomes an expression of love," she tells WHO. "In this busy world, sometimes we forget to tell people [we love them]."

And the family has been extra busy lately: Gellar, 38, has her own line of kid-friendly baking and food decorating kits, FoodStirs, while Prinze, 39, has his own cookbook, Back to the Kitchen (out June 7).

With work and their little ones, Gellar has one guideline for herself (and others): "Make the most of the moments you have."

She also credits being mindful and present as contributing factors to her successful marriage.

"Take the 10 minutes – put the phone down. Have a cup of coffee together. Walk the dog at the end of the night. Read a story with your kids," she suggests. "Make the most of the time that you have. We are all pulled in so many directions, so make sure that, whichever one you are focusing on, you're present."
