Life After David

It was a 25-year love affair that survived all the familiar hazards of fame, fortune and rock and roll.

Now a close friend of David Bowie’s widow has shared with WHO how Iman Abdulmajid Jones is coping. “She’s fine. We’re fine. We’re holding up,” says model Bethann Hardison. “It comes in waves, you know. He’s a great loss.”

Meanwhile, Bowie’s will has revealed the extent of his fortune—and his love of Bali. The star, who died on Jan. 10 aged 69 after an 18-month battle with cancer, left model Iman, 60, roughly half of his $100 million estate.

He left his assistant Corinne Schwab $2 million and former nanny Marion Skene $1 million, while his children—Duncan, 44, and Alexandria, 15—each receive 25 per cent.

In the will, Bowie, a long-time Buddhist, requested that his body be cremated in Bali “in accordance with the Buddhist rituals ... If that is not practical, then my executors shall arrange for my remains to be cremated and my ashes scattered in Bali.”
