Céline Dion Posts Throwback Photo of Late Husband René Angélil Ahead of Wednesday Night Memorial in Las Vegas

Céline Dion's heart continues to ache for late husband René Angélil.

On Wednesday, the singer posted an uncaptioned throwback photo on Facebook which finds her in the arms of her longtime manager and husband of 21 years. (The shot also appeared on the back cover of Angélil's funeral program, as WHO previously reported.)

Right after the singer's profile picture was changed to the throwback shot, Dion's team posted on her official Facebook wall, announcing more plans for Angélil's memorial in Las Vegas.

"Today, a 'celebration of life' of René Angélil will be held at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace from 19 pm (PST) and this will be distributed simultaneously online. During the event, of the guests who have all met René will speak and will remember the man he was through stories and memories," the announcement, translated from French, reads. "If you want to send a message of condolence to Céline and her family, know that it is very appreciated."

Angélil died in January after a years-long battle with cancer. Family, friends and fans flocked to his native Montreal the week following his death, paying their respects at his public visitation on Jan. 21, then at his national funeral the following day, when Dion said goodbye with their sons, René-Charles, 15, and 5-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy.

Despite Dion's heartbreak – she lost her brother to cancer two days after her husband – the singer says the public's outpouring of love and support has helped her in her grief.

"The support we've received has been such a blessing," she told WHO at her husband's wake.
