Chrissy Teigen is going to be a mum!

The 29-year-old model announced the happy news via Instagram today.

Sharing a photo of herself with husband John Legend, Teigen wrote: "John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant :) As many of you know, we've been trying to have a baby for a while now."

"It hasn't been easy, but we kept trying because we can't wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We're so excited that it's finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx"

The model has been vocal about her desire to start a family. "I'm aging. I love bouncing around. I love going on tour with John, we've considered ourselves bi-coastal for 10 years now. It's definitely weird and different to have a home now," she said at the 2015 Television Critics Association press tour.

"I'm ready to have a family and call Los Angeles my home."

Legend and Teigen married in Lake Como, Italy in Sept. 2013 after dating for seven years.
