In court documents obtained by WHO, the rapper's lawyers say he plunked down $280,000 toward the purchase of the Calabasas home he's been renting. Tyga, 25, is suing the landlord for breach of contract, saying he has not upheld their agreement for the rapper to obtain the property. The landlord is suing Tyga in a separate suit, claiming the rapper owes $98,000 in unpaid rent.

Tyga's lawyers say he and the landlord entered into an agreement in September 2014, when the $280,000 was put in escrow as a down payment for the $112 million property.

The property is near the $3.78 million mansion Tyga's girlfriend Kylie Jenner moved into in June, ahead of her 18th birthday.

Days after the legal documents were filed, Tyga was spotted shopping in Beverly Hills, California, on Tuesday where he had a friendly exchange with Scott Disick at Barneys New York department store.
