Almost a year after a Walmart tractor-trailer slammed into Tracy Morgan's limousine on the New Jersey Turnpike, severely injuring the actor and killing a fellow comedian, Morgan has settled with the retailer and dropped his lawsuit.

"Walmart did right by me and my family, and for my associates and their families. I am grateful that the case was resolved amicably," Morgan, 46, said in a statement Wednesday.

The terms and conditions of the deal with Morgan and two other passengers in the limo – Ardley Fuqua and Jeffrey Millea – were not made public.

The 30 Rock actor had sued Walmart after the June 7 crash, alleging that the truck driver fell asleep at the wheel and that the retailer shouldn't have let him drive after he was awake for over 24 hours.

Walmart initially denied culpability, saying the plaintiffs were to blame for their injuries for not wearing seat belts. But Morgan's attorney, Benedict P. Morelli, said Wednesday that Walmart now admits fault.

"Walmart and I worked diligently to reach this settlement for the plaintiffs and their families," Morelli said. "Walmart took full responsibility for the accident, which we greatly appreciate."

Morgan suffered a traumatic brain injury in the accident. He has been making slow but steady progress in his recovery.

He was photographed in late March walking with a cane while shopping with his fiancée, Megan Wollover, and their daughter.

"Our thoughts continue to go out to everyone that was involved in the accident," Greg Foran, Walmart U.S. president and CEO, said in a statement Wednesday. "While we know there is nothing that can change what happened, Walmart has been committed to doing what's right to help ensure the well-being of all of those who were impacted by the accident. We worked closely with Mr. Morelli, and we are pleased to have reached an amicable settlement that ends this litigation. We are deeply sorry that one of our trucks was involved."
